Prostate Cancer Screening

There’s no getting away from the fact that Freemasons are an ideal group to screen for prostate cancer - men, many between the ages of 50 and 80. An earlier session at Crewe Street Masonic Hall attracted some 120 volunteers, of whom a half-dozen or so were called up for further investigations, and of these one proved to have the cancer. This was subsequently treated, much to the relief of the Brother concerned, who had been entirely unaware of the problem..

This January Doctor Shah and her team were on hand again to give our members a comprehensive test - she is pictured here with Provincial Almoner David Foulkes. What a great service she provides!
