The Shropshire Installed First Principals’ Chapter No. 6262 – colloquially known as “6262” was consecrated on 12th March 1988.

Its membership is, as defined by the Chapter title, restricted to Royal Arch Companions who have served as the Most Excellent Zerubbabel in a Chapter, but any Companion is most welcome to attend as a guest.

The Chapter meets just twice a year, on the first Saturday in March and the third Saturday in November (Installation) and is an ideal venue for experienced Royal Arch Masons to network in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere; ideal for any past Z who wishes to keep in touch with old friends from the other end of the Province. The  Chapter does not Exalt candidates and the main item on our  Agenda would normally be a talk or a paper – these are often delivered by speakers from outside the Province and many of national significance.

The four senior appointments – MEZ, H, J and ScN – are filled by Supreme Grand Chapter Officers. ScE, Treasurer and DC generally serve for 3-5 years but the junior appointments are for one year only and are not progressive.
