Travelling Ashlar on move again!
The Travelling Ashlar is a scheme which sets out to encourage Masonic Visiting - and it certainly seemed to be successful on Thursday evening at Column Lodge, when two other lodges - the old St John’s Lodge and the even older Salopian Lodge - ‘raided’ the meeting.
In a convivial and only slightly competitive evening, the Ashlar went to Salopian Lodge (pictured), whose Master, Wardens and nine other Brethren (including two Entered Apprentices, who count double!) were on hand to claim the prize. Among those with his hands on the Ashlar is one young man who had become a Mason only three days previously!
