Lodge Profile
St Milburga Lodge was consecrated on 27th November 1866 at the Dispensary, Ironbridge.
The name comes from St Milburga who founded the nunnery of Wenlock. Lodge meetings were then held at the Tontine Hotel, Ironbridge until 1966 when the Lodge moved to the Forest Glen Pavilion. In 1969 it moved to Constitution Hill, Wellington where it still meets on the second Tuesday of the months of October through to April.
In the Masonic Family Tree St Milburga Lodge sprang from Salopian Lodge of Charity No 117 and in turn sponsored Castle Lodge No 1621 and Uxacona Lodge No 5724.
Our meetings usually start at 6.00pm with a ceremony or a presentation designed to extend our masonic knowledge. We then have a formal meal and conclude at 10.00pm. We also have a Lodge of Instruction which meets on the Wednesday evenings prior to our scheduled Lodge meetings where we can learn and rehearse the various masonic ritual pieces which form an important part of our ceremonies.
St Milburga Lodge is made up of men from varying backgrounds and we welcome men of good moral character who wish to join a society with the aim of leading better lives and assisting those less fortunate in this world.
By joining us you will be embarking on a whole new experience where you will find friendship, enjoyment and fulfilment and at the same time find your inner strengths and greater self confidence.
