Afternoon Tea with Porridge - and a drop or two of rain!!
Many of our members have worked for, alongside and as volunteers with Frontline Workers for the NHS over the last fifteen months. Today, being the anniversary of the foundation of the National Health Service in 1948, we celebrate all those - not just doctors and nursing staff - who have gone the extra several miles in these challenging times.
Members of Caer Caradoc Lodge climbed - you’ve guessed it, Caer Caradoc - in the rain to record their tribute, while members of Salopian Lodge 262 joined the Deputy Provincial Grand Master to recreate Tenniel’s famous Mad Hatter’s tea party illustration in Shrewsbury Jail.
Our thanks to everyone who in any way whatsoever has supported the NHS during the pandemic - but especially to those who have put their lives on the line to care for vulnerable and sick people.
