At last - meetings resume around Shropshire

Freemasonry has suffered (like many organisations) during the pandemic: with no meetings allowed, our membership has sadly declined gently as Time has called some members to the Grand Lodge Above…

In general, there have been few other losses, but sickness and worse have taken their toll, while new Candidates, many inspired by the great charity work done in support of the local community during COVID, have had to wait in the wings.

Thankfully, the gates have opened again and new Initiates have been brought in according to the ancient ritual - with Emergency Meetings held to clear this very special ‘log-jam’. At one such meeting, two Candidates joined on the same night in a rare Double ceremony conducted by Worshipful Brother Andy Delamere, and similar good news is beginning to come in from around Shropshire.
